In total freedom, Jean-Claude Gallotta revisits The Nutcracker, Tchaikovsky’s immortal piece. The playful spirit and inimitable style of the world-class choreographer illuminate this performance. To the sound of the music of the great Russian composer, eight dancers play a bunch of children, displaying a free, joyful and vigorous momentum. At the intersection of classical and contemporary styles, Un Casse-Noisette rejects clichés to reinvent the way we perceive the famous Christmas tale and perpetuate its fantasy.

And then there was light. Familie Flöz, famous for its masked figures, brings a whole world to life on stage. With its exceptional body language, the German company narrates the daily life of a family caught up in the ups and downs of life. We see the characters: the mother and father, the children who are born and grow up. The years pass before our eyes, between moments of happiness and strokes of fate. All around, the artists busy themselves with creating live the sound effects and music for the story. These merely human but sublime masks talk to us about dreams, nostalgia and tenderness, without saying a word.
Discipline, ambition, determination. Three young athletes and an authoritarian coach, eager to perform and flex their muscles, embark on a training session where the pursuit of excellence is the only thing that matters. Pole dancing, contortion, boxing, lassoing and roller-skating push their bodies to the absolute limit, while a whip cracks through the air. Moving at an effervescent pace, these queens of bodybuilding are also champions of perfectionism … On an international tour, the Petri Dish troupe pose the question: always doing more, always doing things better, sure, but at what cost?

La soirée s’ouvre avec Pastime with Good Company, une chanson folklorique composée par le roi Henri VIII en personne. The Sword and the Crown, musique pour orchestre d’harmonie d’Edward Gregson, nous fait vivre l’épopée shakespearienne du pouvoir et de l’épée. L’Hymn of the Highlands projettera ensuite dans nos esprits des images de lointaines et légendaires contrées écossaises. Kings and Queens est à la fois une cérémonie et un hommage – une invitation à plonger dans une splendeur passée et magnifiée.
In the pure tradition of cabaret, seven circus performers combine juggling, dancing and magic with a shared desire to surprise and entertain the audience. On the programme: apparitions, disappearances, transformations, and a range of other tricks executed as per the rules of great illusionist Yann Frisch, who has revealed his most beautiful secrets to the artists. In Heka, hands multiply and bodies stretch out of proportion. Balls and rings twirl, change colours and levitate in the air. After more than 6,000 performances all over the world, the Gandini Juggling troupe from London offers a show where virtuosity, humour and illusion have no boundaries!
