Bumblebees, turtles, ants, frogs, swans and elephants … In Chromatique, a dancer and a musician bring an imaginary, teeming zoo to life. Here, you encounter bizarre animals and perhaps even a mermaid, you listen to the buzzing of insects, the sound of rain and the deep song of whales. Inspired by Camille Saint-Saëns’s Carnival of the Animals (1886), this duo perpetuates its humour and fantasy. Fluorescent colours, dances and pop-electro music harmonise in a poetic and unexpected way, activating a multitude of images and sensations within us. Isn’t that the very essence of imagination?

Eng Famill vu Feldmais wunnt an enger Mauer, no bei engem Bauerenhaff. De Bauer ass geplënnert, an d’Scheier ass eidel. Et gëtt Hierscht, an d’Mais musse Provisioune fir de Wanter maachen. Se schaffen all mat, just de Frederick net. Aplaz Fruucht, Mais, Nëss a Friichten am Lach an der Mauer unzeheefen, sëtzt de Frederick do an dreemt. „Firwat schaffs du näischt?” froen di aner Mais. „Ma ech schaffen dach!” seet de Frederick. Hie sammelt Faarwen, Sonn, Musek a schéi Wierder fir déi laang Wanterowenter. Hie gëtt zu engem, deen aus dem Näischt Freed a Schéines erbäi zaubere kann… Hien ass e richtegen Artist!

Ah, the first day of school! The long hours spent far from home, shyness when meeting classmates, and the reassuring creases of mummy’s dress. To narrate this unusual day, the costumes of our two actors-puppeteers unfold before our eyes, as if by magic. A shoe becomes a bathtub full of bubbles, an inside out jacket becomes a kitchen where you can have breakfast and an arm becomes a road you can drive away on. Funny and inventive, the story of this first day at school turns out to be extraordinary and reassuring for the whole family.
When the night comes, you dream with your eyelids closed… and sometimes even opened! Isn’t it a multicolored rug dancing here? And over there, isn’t it a little thingamabob discreetly floating on stage? What’s sneaking up further away, shy, mysterious, funny and lively? With fabulous visual and sound concepts, the Florschütz & Döhnert company plays with the imagination of young people and adults. A piece of cloth is sometimes enough to reveal fascinating worlds. Worlds between dream and reality in which absurd and surprising beings, yearning for freedom, are endowed with lives of their own that have been unsuspected until now.

Ah, white rabbits! Your just need a hat or a pocket, to see them appear, just by magic. They’re like that, they can’t help it… When you grab one, or rather, when the mischievous animal puts his tender little pawn on us, what should we do? Letting him narrate to us his secret and poetic stories, naturally. With a few handkerchiefs, guitar notes and other knickknacks wielded with a lot of dexterity, duo Florschütz & Döhnert appeals to the imagination of the young and less young audience members. The infinitesimal becomes grandiose, the ordinary becomes unique and the scene becomes a cosmos where everything, absolutely everything, becomes possible.
cAsA?! Wat ass eng cAsA? En Haus, mat zwou Fënsteren an engem spatzen Daach. An dobanne wunnen eng, zwou, dräi, oder souguer méi Geschichten! Déi eng, déi séngt, déi aner, déi spréngt, an déi leschtgeet spadséieren. D‘Dier geet op, a scho stellen d’Geschichte sech eng noder anerer vir. Moien! En einfachen a lëschtegen Erzielspektakel fir déi ganz Kleng.
Dancer and choreographer Annick Pütz takes the audience on a journey to discover all the senses. On a playfully designed stage, she discovers the materiality of the objects around her and establishes a sensitive relationship with them. The music adapts to her movements and reflects them. Slowly, an enchanted world of sensuality comes into existence.
