Forever

Dressed in long white skirts, five proud characters stare at the audience. Are they beings of flesh and blood? Olympian gods? There forever, or mere mortals? Ethereal even when they fall, melodious even when they moan, harmonious even when they pretend to perish, they play and replay their own death all over again. The scenes of agony multiply, with a liberal amount of blood. Based on children’s outlook on death and the after, Swiss artist Tabea Martin invents a cathartic and a tad off-the-wall choreography that questions our representations on the subject, and makes us rather die of laughter than scared to death!

Ssst!

Ah, white rabbits! Your just need a hat or a pocket, to see them appear, just by magic. They’re like that, they can’t help it… When you grab one, or rather, when the mischievous animal puts his tender little pawn on us, what should we do? Letting him narrate to us his secret and poetic stories, naturally. With a few handkerchiefs, guitar notes and other knickknacks wielded with a lot of dexterity, duo Florschütz & Döhnert appeals to the imagination of the young and less young audience members. The infinitesimal becomes grandiose, the ordinary becomes unique and the scene becomes a cosmos where everything, absolutely everything, becomes possible.

ZongenZodi

Sorry, there’s no English version of this text.

Eng Geschicht fänkt vir un an hält hannen op. Zwar net!
Haut op d’mannst maache mer alles verkéiert a béien et nees grued. A vläicht bleiwen dono e puer wonnerschéi kleng Bëlzen dran.
Well wann hanne vir a vir hannen ass, da ka riicht kromm sinn a kromm och riicht, an alles ass nees genee esou, wéi et soll sinn! Oder net?
Komm mir setzen den Z op den A an en T virun all Wuert! Wann dann d’Wieder esou richteg schéi geckeg d’ënnescht d’iewescht bonzelen, da kriss de e Knuet an d’Zong… oder an d’Oueren?
Oh meng Modi, wat en Zodi, voller Freed um Duercherneen!

Escher Meedchen

Sorry, there’s no English version of this text.

“D’Mamm huet dat eenzegt Richtegt gemaach: Se huet eis Paus bäibruecht. Dat, wat se selwer am beschte konnt. Ier ee mat de Wierder hantéiert, muss een d’Paus beherrschen. De Silence.”
Wat awer geschitt, wann d‘Paus ze grouss gëtt? Wann de Silence net méi auszehalen ass? Wa Wierder ufänken, an engem ze jäizen? D’Mona huet vu klengem u geléiert, dass Wierder wéidoe kënnen an et besser ass, de Mond ze halen. Aus Angscht aner Leit ze verletzen, entscheet et sech dozou, seng Paus ëmmer weider an d’Längt, an d’Déift ze zéien – andeems et Fëllwierder benotzt, andeems et laacht, sech Zigaretten ufänkt an Alkohol drénkt. Ee Liewen an der Paus, eng Paus am Liewen: No an no riskéiert d’Mona vu baussen erdréckt ze ginn, wärend vu bannen all déi onausgeschwate Wierder Drock opbauen. Lo muss d’Mona sech entscheeden: Léisst et sech vum Silence erdrécken oder léisst et all déi Wierder fräi, déi sengem Ëmfeld schueden? Escher Meedchen ass eng gekonnt Milieustudie iwwert een Deel vun der Gesellschaft, deen dacks lénks leie gelooss gëtt. Dobäi beweist dem Mandy Thiery säi Stéck, wéi änlech dach bei eis alleguerten d’Problemer sinn.

Juventud

Speed and youth! From the first to the last second of Juventud, five jugglers manifest unfailing endurance and audacity. Made of danced fighting and complicit hand game, the choreography leaves no space to hesitations. Each movement brings about another one, in a flurry of hypnotic acts whose pace, unrelenting, goes crescendo. Traditional juggling objects, balls, masses, and rings get formed and disformed, to mold bodies and come, with great poetry, to another life.

tock tock

Dancer and choreographer Annick Pütz takes the audience on a journey to discover all the senses. On a playfully designed stage, she discovers the materiality of the objects around her and establishes a sensitive relationship with them. The music adapts to her movements and reflects them. Slowly, an enchanted world of sensuality comes into existence.

Au jardin des Potiniers

In this miniature botanical landscape, heads poke out beyond the mountains. Those little faces look familiar: they’re your kids! But don’t panic, they’re invited to contemplate a profuse and poetic world. As they’re placed beneath a model, their heads stick out and they end up at the heart of this microcosm that comes to life like by magic. Fauna and flora awaken and time freezes: the young (and less young) audience members are the witnesses of a beauty whose balance seems fragile… Au jardin des Potiniers is a humble and immediate encounter with nature and its splendor.

Bakéké

Are you desperately perfectionist? So is he! Tight as a clam and clever as a cartload of monkeys, our friends seems to have only one idea in mind, under his straw hat: building pyramids… of buckets. Not 3 or 6, but 60 lime-colored buckets. Through all means, especially the craziest ones, he intends to give them sumptuous geometric shapes. So, this dreamer aligns and piles up, to the point of hubris… Like for Cleopatra’s architect, it’s however in imperfection and mistakes that poetry will come out. Bakéké (“bucket” in Hawaiian) is a story that tells our own obstinacies, deliciously absurd and liberating.
