Contemporary rhythms for an ancestral dance. In Muerdelimones, dancer and choreographer Jose Manuel Álvarez boldly challenges the traditional codes of flamenco. On stage, the deep singing of Esperanza Fernández perfectly blends with Josep Tutusau’s electroacoustics, carried by the percussions of Lucas Balbo, while Jose Manuel Álvarez’s dancing switches between tensions and loosening. The four artists explore the full range of their art in every note and every movement, in search of the mysterious duende, the raw soul of flamenco.
